Completely Undazzled: Miranda’s Thoughts on Twilight’s Bad Influence(s)

For some girls, Twilight is a series that they can relate to.  How?  I don’t know.  Not many people I know have a significant other who is sparkly and undead.
Me, and many other people, however, feel that the series is a bad influence to children, and you may be wondering why.
Twilight teaches girls to get married as soon as possible so that they can have sex with the infatuation of their life.  I’ve met young girls who are 10 (and even younger!) who say that they want to have sex with the boy they like, so they’re going to marry them.  It also tells girls that you should like boys for their looks.  Personality?  Forget about it!
Bella is not a good example, either.  She has no self confidence and she relies way too much on love and boys, and when Edward leaves her, what does she do?  She becomes depressed.  Guys are the only means of living and being happy for her.
These are only a few points of how Twilight is a bad influence, and I find it sad that people seem to be blind and think the only bad influence in Twilight is in the series’ last book.
